Summer Flower & School Garden Competition 2010 Applications for the Summer Flower and School Garden Competition will be sent to schools week commencing 1st February 2010. The London Children’s Flower Society has been organising gardening competitions for 65 years. Our summer gardening competition allows children to grow the flowers, herbs and vegetables from seed. The children have the opportunity to follow the natural process of germination, growth and production of flower or vegetable crop. All the children taking part will receive a certificate regardless of whether they grow the plants in individual pots or collectively in the school garden or playground garden, be they in tubs, pots or window boxes. School gardens will be judged separately provided you so indicate on the Entry Form.
Judging will take place in late June and early July when one of our volunteers will visit your school to award certificates and stickers to the children.
Planting instructions can be found on the seed packets plus we will include a general instruction leaflet with your order.
Our seed prices are extremely good value and our individual packets are still 40p each, the same price as they were in 2004! We look forward to receiving your application before the 26th March 2010 deadline.
